Cathy Godbold an Australian actress who played Meg in Home and Away passes away at aged 43 after a long-term struggle with Brain Cancer.
In July 2007 she was first diagnosed with Brain Cancer then, she then underwent surgery and had the cancer removed.
It was said that during the years she had two recurring cancer that she had to go through chemotherapy treatment.
The adored actress who graced our TV screen with her emotional scene playing Meg in Home and Away where her character passed away in her co-star Blake’s arms whilst watching the sunrise.
In an interview when she spoke about her cancer treatments and how she felt at the time of her diagnosed.
She remained very optimistic she said; “It was a terrible shock to find out I was ill. Because I am young and healthy I have a much better chance of beating it. I am fighting this… I want to get healthy and get back to work as soon as possible.”
Fans have been mentioning her gripping scene in Home and Away in their tributes, back in January another brain tumor developed which proved to be terminal she passed away on the 4th of May 2018.
Godbold’s fans on Twitter paid their tribute to the star who lost her battle to cancer.
For now though our heart is not ready we have to say “Goodbye” to yet a talented actress who was a pride to watch.
