LAPD confirm suspect on the killing of Nipsey Hussle

The suspect for the murder of Grammy nominated artist Nipsey Hussle(Ermias Asghedom) 33, has been identified.

The LAPD have confirmed that they have identified a suspect in the fatal shooting of music artist Nipsey Hussle. Police have identified, 29 year old, Eric Holder aka ( Shitty) who was last seen driving a white car.

The LAPD believe it was gang related, however. both were believed to be part of the same gang LA Crips (Rolling 60s).

This news follows after the vigil in LA that ended in chaos as multiple people were left injured. With reports that shots had been fired, claims which the police seemed unable to confirm.

Once the LAPD arrived they managed to diffuse the situation and disperse the crowds for safety reasons. They tweeted:

On Sunday 31st March 2019, around 3:20 pm Nipsey Hussle and two of his entourage were shot outside of his clothing store in the Hyde Park neighbourhood of South Los Angeles, Slauson.

After the autopsy had been performed it was determined that he had suffered shots to his head and torso. He was pronounced dead on arrival at hospital.

The news of his death has hit the Community of LA and the music industry hard. As artist such as Rihanna, Drake, Diddy and others all paid their respects on social media.


Nipsey Hussle was a known philanthropist and was admired for his love for his community and hes dedication to change lives and empower others. He even planned to meet with the LAPD to talk about ways of tackling Gang Violence .

The LAPD are still searching for the suspect and plead with anybody who knows any information about his whereabouts to contact South Bureau Homicide at 323-786-5100
