Fantastic Doyle : female jockey sets new record for UK winners

The 23 years old lady breaks the record with her 107th victory of 2019 on ClassTown at Southwell on Thursday becoming the most winning female jockey

“I’m never satisfied and look for the next thing to do” she said to BBC Sport, looking forward to achieve a new record.

Earlier this season Doyle became only the third female jockey reaching the 100 wins in a year, joining Josephine Gordon and Hayley Turner.
Hollie Doyle now beated Josephine Gordon’s, previously in charge with 106 victories set during 2017.

“Myself and Hollie started riding at kind of the same time, so to see her do it is brilliant. I know how hard she works” said Gordon.
She congratulates Hollie on her new record over Twitter.

“I feel a bit emotional. I just feel very grateful and very lucky ” she said after winning the race.

Tom Marquand, Doyle’s boyfriend, paid her tributes to the cameras, reflecting on how consistently she has been working throughout the year.
“It’s incredible what she’s managed to do” he said on an interview with Sky Sport after her victory was announced.

In 2018 Hollie got injured with her front teeth knocked out.
Thankfully it was not a mayor damage.
