HOW THE CORONAVIRUS IS AFFECTING THE WORLD OF SPORT

So far, all sporting events including: Premier League, Euro 2020, Olympics, boxing and golf have been suspended until further notice.

Organizations such as The Football Association, the Premier League, the English Football League, FA Women’s Super League and FA Women’s Championship have all called a halt to the action.

The Grand National, the London Marathon and tennis’ French Open have all been postponed as well.

Hornets’ Chairman & CEO Scott Duxbury replied to the postpone of all football with: “First and foremost, our concern is for the well being of everybody connected with our club; players, staff and supporters,”

Fans were extremely disappointed when they heard the news, here is one fans reaction when they heard about it:

“I was absolutely devastated, I don’t how I’m going to survive without my weekly fix of sport, but in the grander scheme of things there are lives at stake and sport has to take a back seat in these times we are facing.” That was by a huge Celtic FC fan, Mr Danny O’Donnell

Give COVID-19 the red card:

The quicker we work together to stop coronavirus spreading, the sooner we can get back into the pubs, the gyms and stadiums and arenas to see live sport again.
